Alli and Mandy
My friend Alli and I.

A few moments ago, I was making faces at my webcam along with my friend, Alli.

Alli is one of my best friends, and she’s the kind of friend who always knows what to say when I’m having a bad day or when I just need to have a good laugh. I was in stitches tonight. My cheeks are pink and I have a smile on my face because I got to talk with her.

And we both finally got the brilliant idea to use Skype instead of our cellphones.

We miss each other.

She lives in NJ and I’m in PA. We have a visit every few months, so there’s quite a bit of inbetween time for funny text messages, missed calls, voicemails, and late night gab fests that usually involve someone saying something in appropriate.

Okay, not something. Quite a few things.

She inspired me to write this post.

When people suck, or when they’re passive aggressive on the internet, in person, or otherwise, or when you’re feeling like your job is going nowhere or if your car broke down, or if your cat just farted – you can always call someone you care about and know that someone on the other end of the line (or in my case, the Skype call), will be there to answer and bring a little sunshine into an otherwise shitty situation.
