The secret of fortune is joy in our hands. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you could picture your intuition as a person, what would he or she look like? If you sat down together for dinner, what is the first thing he or she would tell you?

Hello, Intuition. It’s nice to finally meet you in person.

I’ve known you forever and we’ve often talked, but I’m glad to finally shake your hand and tell you how much I appreciate you. You’ve always given me great advice. As far back as I can remember, you’ve always been there for me when I needed you, and sometimes, when I didn’t even know that I needed you. Thank you for that. You’ve saved my life probably  more times than I can count.

You’re a lot taller than I would have expected. There were times when I thought you were tiny and I wished you could be a bit bigger and stronger. You know, like being able to lift me up on your shoulders or something. But small and mighty sounded good at the time. But yes, you’re taller than I thought and still very strong. Where do you work out? I’d love to know how you keep so fit.

You have, um, a very interesting hair color too. Purple and pink was something I never would have expected, but then again, you were always one for the unexpected. You could surprise me like no one else could, but I never doubted you. Okay, maybe sometimes I doubted you, but usually, I listened to what you had to say. Let me know if you ever change your colors. It may be time for me to change mine too. But enough of me rambling. Let’s talk about what you want to talk about. You know, I always have a nasty habit of cutting you off. I get too excited and just sort of let my mouth go. But yes, let’s talk about what you want to talk about.

Intuition: You’re different than what I expected, too.  But that’s a good thing. I’ve always known who you are and what you are like, but seeing you puts things into a different focus. We fit together pretty well, you and I, don’t we?
